Half of my heart

May 30, 2010

Dear World,

So this upcoming week being my last week of high school ever, I no longer have senior-itis.  Now, I’m just kind of numb to it all.  Normally, I’d be that student that would spend a couple of hours studying and reviewing, but do I have that drive as a college-bound senior? NOOOOO.  I’d be more worried if I did.  Everyone around me is going through this to, so I think it’s safe to say this is all part of the process.  It STILL has not sunk in that I’m a senior and porbably won’t until I have recieved my diploma, have gone on my class trip and when lacrosse has ended.  Maybe I’ll never feel like one.  And then it’s back down to the bottom of the totem pole as a freshman in college… HUZZAH!

Speaking of college, my orienatation is coming up, and I want to be there so so so so so so so badly.  Now, I’m not on;y over high school, I’m done with the routine and the people I see everyday.  I love my friends and am going to miss my class so much, we’ve all practically grown up together; sometimes though, a chapter in your life needs to end for another brilliant one to begin, or at least that is how I see it.  Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m willing to take that chance.  I’m ready for the city, I’m ready for change, I’m ready for a fresh start!

Now that my inspirational speech is over, I’m going to watch some French indie films, because I can.

Sincerely,

Shea

I’ll just leave you with this because it’s beautiful:
