Dear World,
This morning I was watching the news with my dad and we saw this story about newspapers and their future, apparently their may not BE a future for them! Most people nowadays get their information online, and don’t pay a cent for it. I use msnbc.com for most of my information and for local news I read my local news paper that doesn’t cost me anything.

A world without newspapers would be saddening and odd, but I am starting to think about all of the paper and ink saved. Yet, on the flip side, all of the jobs lost would counterbalance and have devastating effects. However, for the most part, I am a realist and I have come to realize that my generation is mostly online everything.

We’ll go where ever the win blows us.

Sincerely,
Shea

Dear World,
Yes, it has been a week since I have posted. Life has been busy. School has been busy. Lacrosse starts up Monday. This means even more busy-ness. Yet, I couldn’t ask for anything more <3.

Dear World,
Natasha Richardson died last night. This is really heart breaking to me because I watch Parent Trap all the time, and it is one of my favorite movies. I seriously watched Parent Trap everyday!

She was a beautiful woman and will be missed.

Sincerely,
Shea

Dear World,
I love my parents, a lot. We have a really close relationship, and they are really supportive of me. So it is not often that I complain about them, but I must vent for a moment.

My brother took a year off before going to college (something that puts enough stress on me) and they feel that it is ok for him and his friends to play loud garage-band-ish music in his room, distracting me from my homework. Apparently they don’t think my school work is important, and I hate to be rude, but do they want me to end up like him? I have high hopes, aspirations and goals for myself, and I won’t let them get ruined because of a group of immature and irresponsible boys who can’t get their acts together. Ok, I am done, thanks.

Sincerely,
Shea

Dear World,
I just just just got back from the two day NHS trip in Bangor. It was a lot of fun, definitely not what I had expected, but being in a hotel with friends is fun and three hours bus rides with hilarious peers is always a blast!

Anyway, I am exhausted, and tomorrow I have to get up early to do some volunteer work, and then go work out, and then do all of my homework. I never miss school, and when I do it is for school-related functions, so it is always weird to get back on track.

Sunday I am going prom dress shopping with my mum! It shall be fun.

Sincerely,
Shea

Dear World,
This weekend has been exciting, exhausting and amazing. My drama cast and I performed Common Ground at the one-act play festival. It was the best performance we have ever given, and people raved and raved all weekend.

To my surprise, we didn’t win, sadly, but to be honest, no trophy could ever top the feeling I felt both on the stage and then coming off it and hugging all my cast mates. It was a natural high, something I will never forget for the rest of my life.

I really do love this, this theatre thing, and I missed doing it will all my heart and soul.

Sincerely,
Shealost

Dear World,
Lately I have been noticing how friendships have been changing. Not mine in particular, but just people I have known and how they have changed friends. There are these two girls that have been best friends forever, and now they are fighting and haven’t talked this whole week. I know personally, my best friend Sara and I (have been bests since the womb) have had our disagreements but don’t go more than a day without talking. In fact, we have never gotten into a fight really.

It’s just strange how some friendships have been evolving and in some cases crumbling, especially this year. Maybe it is easier than saying goodbye…

Sincerely
Shea

Dear World,
I am incredibly busy at the moment. Between working out for lacrosse, school and one act rehearsal as well as NHS, Girl Scouts and other various clubs, I have limited time to blog. My apologies, but, ce la vie!

Sincerely,
Shea
